Terrorists Attack Church in Nigeria, Kill Worshippers and Abduct Pastor and Congregants

Terror struck a church community in Nigeria after armed militants stormed a Sunday service, killing several worshippers and abducting others, including the presiding pastor. The violent raid has added to the growing concerns over persistent insecurity in many parts of the country, where armed groups continue to target villages, religious institutions and travelers.
According to local residents, the attackers arrived during the morning service, surrounding the church before opening fire on congregants. Panic spread through the building as worshippers attempted to flee, but several were shot, while others were forcibly taken away. Among the abducted were men, women and children, as well as the church pastor who was leading the service.
Survivors described the scene as chaotic and devastating. Many families remain unsure of the fate of their loved ones, with community members pleading for urgent government intervention to ensure the safe return of those kidnapped. Security agencies have been deployed to the area, but tracking the attackers remains challenging due to the difficult terrain and the presence of multiple armed groups operating within the region. Authorities say they are pursuing leads and working with local vigilantes to locate the victims.
